How to Automate Your Social Bookmarking to Increase Traffic

auto social bookmarking software Getting traffic from social media is a time consuming task. That is, unless you are an A-list blogger. They have other bloggers racing to be the first to digg, reddit, stumble, propel, mixx or buzz their posts. With A list bloggers, their faithful readers will tag, sphinn or tweet anything! John Chow's loyal followers will even bookmark his latest post that shares little more than photos of his dinner and dessert!

How much time will you spend on social bookmarking sites if you're not an A, B or C list blogger? Most of your time. This is the case, whether you are a blogger, Squidoo lensmaster or affiliate marketer. (In my case, I'm involved in ALL THREE. Need I say more?) You have the option of spending hours on social media attempting to befriend the "higher than thou pimply faced, wanna be tech nerd" on digg or risk looking like a spammer by submitting your own content. There are 100's of social bookmarking sites and each has it's "elite" top submitters. Most of the time, these include the A-list bloggers, top affiliate marketers, "safe list" owners, traffic exchange owners and other internet gurus. If you are a blogger with little or no following, getting to the top page of these sites is very slim. I'm not here to be Ms. Doom and Gloom, I'm just being brutally honest.

There is one other option. There is software that automatically submits content to social media sites (after the inital setup). It's a time saver and it works like a charm. I'm one that doesn't like to take short cuts because I feel like it's cheating. I tried to get all the backlinks on my own...the long way. I'm here to tell you, don't lose sleep like I did. There is a reason internet gurus make so much money. They automate as much as they can. Quality backlinks on social bookmarking sites is just one of the many tedious tasks they automate. Bookmarkingdeomn increases page rank, traffic and income!

Just a little advice from someone that has been there and done that. Invest in your business and get bookmarking demon. It will be a huge time saver, traffic builder and if you have your sites monetized correctly... a money maker.

Great for the newbie and the expert!

Five Steps to Getting Targeted Traffic

Let me guess. You are excited about a new business opportunity you got involved in. You now have a beautiful web site, but no visitors. You have a web site in the world wide web. Only problem is that there are billions of sites on the internet. How can you get traffic? How will people find your site?

Before you can get traffic, you need to think about the type of traffic you need. There are many different ways to get traffic. Knowing what you want to achieve from this traffic is the first step to getting it.

Why is it important to get targeted traffic?
Whether you are trying to get referrals for a MLM opportunity or traffic to your blog, you must know the traffic that will benefit you. It really comes into play when you are monetizing a site with Google Adsense or selling ebooks. You need to target a specific audience for your online venture to be a success. By getting the wrong traffic to your sites, you are wasting your resources.

Why does the type of traffic I get matter?
Let's say you have an online store for dance equipment. You want customers, right? Of course, because you make money from sales. Getting hits from traffic exchanges will not be the best method for you. You would need to use article directories, search engine optimiztion for your site, sprinkled with some social bookmarking. You may also look into getting some bloggers to blog about your store for some backlinks. All of those methods are free. You can also pay for advertising on Google Adwords or Yahoo Ads.

5 steps to targeting your site's traffic:
1. Recognize who your targeted audience is. Are you looking for a customer or a some researching a product?
2. Identify the type of traffic you want and need (seo, traffic exchanges, social media).
3. Determine the type of sources that will provide your targeted traffic.
4. Decide the amount of money you can dedicate to these sources of traffic. (There are free services or software you can purchase for reasonable prices).
5. Be realistic about the time you can dedicate to obtaining traffic. Free methods can consume time, but it will have to do if you don't have an advertising budget.

As you can see there are many ways you can obtain traffic. On this site, I will show you how to use free tools to get your desired results. Of course, free methods take up your time. (You may want to think about outsourcing some of them). For the quickest results, I will point you to software that is available for reasonable prices.
